Kazakhstan bans sale of pesticides for killing insects

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan has imposed ban on sale of dangerous chemical pesticides for killing insects, zakon.kz reports.
The ban is initiated for providing sanitary and epidemiological safety of the population in connection with a number of cases of toxic etchings registered in the country, deputy chief sanitary doctor of Kazakhstan noted.
These measures will allow to reduce the risk of damaging the health of citizens and the environment.
In February 2010, 11 cases of toxic poisoning were recorded during the disinfection works, including one death, in Mangistau region and Shymkent.
