First Tashkent International Investment Forum postponed over coronavirus threat

AKIPRESS.COM - The First Tashkent International Investment Forum was postponed from March 5-6 until fall over coronavirus outbreak in China, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov said.
This is the second time the forum is postponed. Initially, it was planned for fall 2019, Kun.uz reported.
"Due to epidemiological situation linked with cooronavirus outbreak, the decision was made to postpone the international investment forum in Tashkent from March until November," Umurzakov told reporters.
The number of participants willing to partake in the forum exceeded the expectations, Minister Umurzakov stated.
According to organizers, the forum is aimed to bring together top managers of more than 1,500 companies, investors, exporters and international media representatives.
