Kazakh PM says systematic work on elimination of barriers in EAEU is needed

AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin received Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich, who assumed office on February 1, zakon.kz reported.
During the talks, Mamin reminded that the idea of Eurasian integration belongs to the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
According to him, a mutual trade of Kazakhstan with other EAEU member states increased by 23.3%, from $16.3 billion to $20.1 billion. The flow of investments from EAEU countries exceeded $5.5 billion, the Prime Minister noted.
Meanwhile, Mamin underlined a number of barriers existing on the internal market of the EAEU.
"A systematic work should be carried out on elimination of barriers providing classic "four freedoms" (goods, services, capital and work force) and increasing mutual trade. This will allow business circles and the population of the EAEU countries' as a whole to feel a real benefit from integration project," the PM said.
The two discussed the process of preparation of the draft strategy areas of development of Eurasian economic integration until 2025, modernization of the single base of technical regulation as part of the EAEU and the issues of following the rules of work of the EEC.
