Uzbekistan, ADB discuss launch of electric vehicle

AKIPRESS.COM - A gradual introduction of electric vehicles in Uzbekistan and recommendations and technical assistance of the Asian Development Bank were discussed on February 21, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan said. Representatives of the ADB and the Ministry considered a launch of both personal and public vehicles in the country.
The sides agreed that the ADB experts will analyze the impact of electric vehicle to the environment and assess the taxation, tariffication and subsidizing.
Introduction of standards, filling stations and production of accumulator batteries were also reviewed during the meeting.
