Head of Zaisan district replaced after protests over coronavirus reports

AKIPRESS.COM - Serik Zainuldin became head of Zaisan district of East Kazakhstan region, zakon.kz reported. Governor of the region Danial Akhmetov told on social media that he had introduced the new head of the district to staff.
According to the governor, the new head of the district is tasked to tackle social-economic issues and strengthen the unity and harony in the region.
The new appointment occurred after protests of residents in Zaisan over false reports about treatment of coronavirus patients in the country.
