AKIPRESS.COM - 29,000 children with disabilities live in Kyrgyzstan, said the head of the department for the development of social services for people with disabilities and senior citizens Kulira Kubatova at the press conference in Bishkek on Feb 24. According to her, 143 orphanages operate across the republic for children who were left unattended.
"There are institutions, which are linked to the Labor Ministry, Health Ministry, Education Ministry, as well as children's boarding schools, which host over 12,000 children," said Kubatova.
