Representatives of trade unions rallying in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - Over 150 people gathered near Trade Union building on Feb 25 and expressed their dissatisfaction over the current situation around the Kyrgyzstan Trade Unions Federation. According to the protesters, the council of Trade Unions Federation decided to dismiss the chairman Mirbek Asanakunov.
However, Asanakunov believes that this decision is illegal.
The protesters claimed that they oppose the draft law on trade unions, which was passed by parliament in 2 readings.
