More than 400 families evacuated in Almaty region due to flood threat

AKIPRESS.COM - 459 families have been evacuated from Tselinograd district of Almaty region due to the flood threat, Liter.kz reports. 200 more families will be evacuated soon, governor of the region Yermek Marzhikpayev said today at the meeting of the government.
According to him, Nur-Sultan is also at risk of flooding.
Minister of Interior Yerlan Turgumbayev earlier told that some regions of Kazakhstan did not prepare for a flood period, which poses high risks of flooding of 609 settlements.
