Mazhilis of Kazakhstan, European Parliament hold talks

AKIPRESS.COM - Chairman of Mazhilis of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin on February 25 met with the delegation of the European Parliament headed by co-Chair of the Kazakhstan - EU parliamentary cooperation committee Fulvio Martusciello, zakon.kz reported.
Nigmatulin said the trade with EU makes half of the Kazakh foreign trade and investments.
The Speaker expressed hope that the agreement on cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU, which will fully enter into force on March 1, will change the beginning of the new phase in bilateral relations.
Fulvio Martusciello said the EU is interested in strengthening of cooperation with Kazakhstan, as the country is a strategic partner of Europe and a leader in Central Asian region.
The two discussed cooperation in transport infrastructure, digitalization, green technologies, agriculture, ecology and tourism spheres.
