AKIPRESS.COM - Farhod Arziev has been appointed First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan. He served as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India and Bangladesh between May 2017 and March 2019.
Arziev, 45, has degrees from the Tashkent State University, City, University of London and Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce of Kentucky University.
Arziev worked at the national news agency of Uzbekistan in 1997-2000, news agency of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan (2002-2004), in the mission of Uzbekistan to UN in New York (2004-2008), mission of Uzbekistan to UN in Geneva (2008-2009), UN and international organizations department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan (2012-2014), was deputy head of mission and advisor to the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Germany (2014-2017).
Arziev replaced Ilhomzhon Nematov, who was the First Deputy Foreign Minister since November 2018, but now became Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
