AKIPRESS.COM - A 22-year-old Maria Agapova, Kazakhstan's first amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) world champion, signed a contract with UFC, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
She told on Instagram her wish came true at last and thanked for support.
The athlete promised to write a book soon with a happy end.
The athlete managed to get the UFC in August 2019, but she lost the fight for American Tracy Cortes.
Then Agapova signed a contract with another promoter - Invicta FC. She fought twice under its aegis. Both fights were successful for the Kazakhstani champion, after which UFC drew attention to her.
