AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Health of Kazakhstan said that coronavirus is not a plague that kills everyone and called on citizens not to panic, zakon.kz reported.
There is a possibility of spreading in Kazakhstan, but the government is taking preventive measures, he said.
"But most important is no need to panic, this is not a plague. This is not a disease, which kills everyone. It is an infection, which is highly infectious and distributed worldwide. A person can get sick, but it does not mean that he will die. Unfortunately, there are people who die. But fatality rate is not that high," the Minister noted.
Authorities of Kazakhstan are monitoring the Kazakh-Chinese border since January 6, Birtanov reminded.
All other borders are also being checked regularly, according to him.
There are 185 people, who arrived from China to Kazakhstan and are quarantined, the Minister said.
