Kyrgyzstan traded with EAEU countries for $198.9 mln increasing by 16.5% in Jan 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - Volume of mutual trade of Kyrgyzstan with EAEU countries in January 2020 totaled $198.9 compared to January 2019 increasing by 16.5%, Statistics Committee reported. Export of goods to EAEU countries during reported period amounted to $45.6 million or 103.3%, and import $153.2 million or 121.1%.
Growth of export to these countries by 3.3% was mostly due to the increase of fruit and nut exports by 3.6 times, plastic containers 2 times, vegetables 2 times, bread and pastry 1.6 times, ores and concentrations of precious metals 1.5 times, milk and dairy products 1.5 times and polished glass 26.6 times.
At the same time, decrease in export of textile clothes was observed by 10.1 times, wastes
there was a decrease in the export of textile clothing by 10.1 times, waste and scrap of copper - by 6.3 times, shoes with upper made of genuine leather - by 3.4 times, cotton fiber - by 28.8%, waste and scrap metals - by 16.3%, parts and accessories for automobiles - by 11.1%.
Increase in import from EAEU countries by 21.1% was mainly due to growth of import of black metals by 1.8%, vegetable oil 1.5 times, oil products 24.6%, natural gas 21.7%, pharmacy products 1.6%.
The bulk of mutual trade falls to Russia - 68.8% and Kazakhstan - 28.9%.
