AKIPRESS.COM - "We hope that the situation will stabilize in 3 weeks," Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Altynai Omurbekova said today at the government briefing on coronavirus situation.
Specialists say that three weeks ahead are very dangerous, she noted.
"Taking into account that the coronavirus cases were confirmed in neighboring countries, we should try to prevent outbreak in Kyrgyzstan. If we will be able keep the situation under the control like today, then the situation will stabilize in three weeks," Omurbekova noted.
According to her, the government will be taking further actions after three weeks depending on the situation in the world and the country.
"We have more favorable condition, we can look at the experience of other countries," she added.
No coronavirus cases were officially confirmed in Kyrgyzstan as of March 17, but Kyrgyzstan's close neighbors - Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan - have confirmed several cases and declared emergency situation.
