Uzbekistan allows Tajik citizens stranded on Kazakh-Uzbek border to enter country

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan allowed a group of Tajik citizens stranded in the neutral zone between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to enter the country after 17 hours of waiting, centralasian.org reported. Uzbekistan closed the borders and stopped flights, road transportation since March 16. Tajik migrant workers returning from Russia did not expect such move.
The Tajik Foreign Ministry also said Uzbek authorities allowed Tajik citizens to cross into the country
The Tajik Foreign Ministry urged citizens to refrain from travel to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, where coronavirus cases were registered.
