Several thousands of residents of enclaves pass checkpoint on Kyrgyz-Uzbek border within 3 days

AKIPRESS.COM - About 10,000 citizens crossed the border of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan at Vadil checkpoint in Kadamjay district of Batken region within 3 days, Turmush reported.
According to the first deputy governor Abdymanap Jakbarov, most of these citizens were heading to the Sokh, Shakhimardan and Zhigit-Pirim enclaves of Uzbekistan through Kadamjay.
After coronavirus cases were confirmed on the territory of Uzbekistan, the flow of citizens of Kyrgyzstan through Vadil checkpoint heading to the neighboring country decreased. But the citizens of Uzbekistan are moving to their enclaves. The checkpoint is being controlled at a moment.
