Kyrgyzpost halts mail deliveries to 40 countries

AKIPRESS.COM - The Kyrgyzpost enterprise has temporarily terminated reception of mail items, the State Registration Service of Kyrgyzstan said.
All kinds of mail deliveries addressed to 40 countries of the world have been suspended over coronavirus situation.
The press service noted that messaging between operators of Kyrgyzstan and other countries of the Universal Postal Union is carried out through Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Chinese authorities canceled all ways of post exchange between China and Kazakhstan. The Uzbek side suspended all flights to the CIS and non-CIS countries. In addition, all flights of the PJSC Aeroflot - Russian Airlines to Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Mongolia, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic are canceled from March 17, the statement says.
