AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan suspended the lcoal council elections in Batken, Jalal-Abad, Naryn, Issyk-Kul, Chui and Osh regions and Osh city set for April 12 in line with the presidential order and in view of the recommendation of the Security Council.
All preparations for the local council elections were suspended.
Kyrgyzstan declared the nation-wide emergency since March 22. By the evening of March 23, the number of COVID-19 cases reached 16.
Election campaigning in any form will be suspended since March 24.
