Over 200 Kyrgyz citizens can’t return from Turkey to Kyrgyzstan – Tourism Association

AKIPRESS.COM - More than 200 citizens of Kyrgyzstan can't return from Turkey to Kyrgyzstan, Ermek Myrzabekov, Chairman of the Association of Tourism, told AKIpress.
He said the talks are in progress with the Turkish side, Pegasus Airlines in particular.
"They agreed to arrange a plane for 230 people at $109,000 rent, but they cut the rent cost to $75,000, which means $330 per person. Our tourists are buying these tickets," he said.
The tourists live in hotels at their expense after expiry of their tours, he said.
"We are waiting for permits now," Ermek Myrzabekov explained.
The tourists after return from Egypt are under quarantine, he added.
"They returned from Sharm El Sheikh yesterday. 50% of costs were covered by Kazakhstan from the fund set up to bring their citizens back to the home country, a half of expenses, $200, were paid by tourists each. The earlier purchased tickets were cancelled after closure of the borders and the flight was canceled," he explained.
