Kyrgyz lawmaker calls for consolidation of nation to contain coronavirus

AKIPRESS.COM - "Do we need to know who and from where imported the virus? Is it that important now whether it was brought from the conference, by Umrah pilgrims or tourists? We should focus on fight with virus instead," MP Sadyk Sher-Niyaz said at the extraordinary session of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan today.
He urged his colleagues and government members to unite in this fight and support each other.
"We are all equal now, whether Muslims, Christians, MPs, beggars. We should deliver each piece of information carefully without negative implications," he said.
He then told his colleagues that everyone should be ready to work day and night amid the state of emergency.
"We should be prepared to work day an night. Such state is declared for the first time. People also do not know what they may do. The government should be very active in its communication efforts," the MP added.
