AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Bank of Uzbekistan recommended to limit payments in cash. Use of cash may be one of the channels of spread of the coronavirus, according to the World Health Organization.
Viruses can live up to 3-4 days on paper money, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.
Paper notes kept in bank vaults and cash departments of the Central Bank and commercial banks are disinfected 1-2 times a week.
Besides, all banks are recommended to keep incoming cash separately from other banknotes for a week at least.
Citizens and legal entities are recommended to limit payments in cash for the period of quarantine.
