AKIPRESS.COM - The session of the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan is held since today in absence of its members above 65 years, zakon.kz reported. Mazhilis Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin said following WHO recommendations on coronavirus, Mazhilis members above 65 years were allowed to stay home.
The Speaker said the quorum allows to hold plenary sessions in such format.
"You know that only Mazhilis members and main reporters for each bill are present without invitation of other stakeholders, representatives of public organizations, NGOs. This allowed to change seat arrangement in the plenary session room according to WHO sanitary norms, now it is almost like a business class," Speaker Nigmatulin said meaning the distance between seats became bigger.
