AKIPRESS.COM - Health Ministry has taken measures on redesigning healthcare organizations for treatment patients with COVID-19, including for the reception of emergency patients, said ministry.
According to the approved plan, 1,623 wards with additional reserve of 715 wards were prepared in the country's hospitals, 215 wards were provided for intensive care units and 68 wards are in reserve.
All healthcare organizations adopted specific instructions for organizing work with the coronavirus infection and hospitalization algorithms for these patients. The regulation for hospitalization of patients with physical diseases, pregnant women, women in labor and newborns arriving from the countries with the unfavorable epidemiological situation or contacted with patients with COVID-19 was specified.
The specialists from redesigned hospitals and departments were trained on diagnostics, treatment of coronavirus infection and prevention of nosocomial spread.
Health organizations took measures to maintain emergency supply of anti-infective, antiviral, disinfectants and individual protective items for medical workers, the statement said.
