Uzbekistan to pay compensation of $10,400 to health professionals infected with Covid-19 at work

Health professionals infected with COVID-19 during treatment of coronavirus patients will be paid compensation of 100 million soums ($10,400), President Mirziyoyev said.
All health care organizations in the country work under no timeline. 11 hospitals, 97 resorts, camps and dormitories are used as quarantine facilities. Around 100,000 health workers were mobilized into fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Doctors and epidemiologists contacting the patients with coronavirus in hospitals will be paid incentives of 25 million soums ($2,600) a month, nurses and laboratory specialists will be paid incentives of 15 million soums ($1,500), sanitary workers will be paid 10 million soms (over $1,000), other workers will be paid 5 million soums ($520) a month.
Uzbekistan so far confirmed 75 COVID-19 cases.
