Armani halts fashion production to make medical overalls

AKIPRESS.COM - Fashion brands and designers are searching for creative ways to stay afloat in the coronavirus era, Houston Chronicle reports. As Houston designers Chloe Dao, David Peck and the Magpies & Peacock fashion house gear up to make surgical masks, Armani has announced it will start manufacturing single-use medical overalls. All of the company's Italian production plants have now switched to creating the garments that will be used by healthcare workers engaged in the fight against the coronavirus disease.
Giorgio Armani, who formed his company in 1975, has also contributed $2.2 million to hospitals throughout Italy to help with healthcare related to the virus.
