AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov and Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev discussed measures to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection in the country and crisis bailout plans of the government to minimize the economic fallout on March 29, the President's Office reports.
The head of state noted that special attention in this situation should be paid to ensuring food security, regulating the macroeconomic situation and supporting entrepreneurship, as well as to the provision of essential goods to the population in the territories where state of emergency was introduced.
Jeenbekov also emphasized the importance of providing maximum support to medical workers and providing them with all necessary means.
President added that the Republican operative headquarter should strengthen coordination of all involved structures, timely respond to requests from citizens, doctors and other involved persons along with local commandant's offices.
Prime Minister noted that the government is taking comprehensive measures to decrease adverse effects of the spread of coronavirus infection on the country's economy, as well as briefed on work to support SME's and the implementation of other crisis response measures.
Abilgaziyev reported on allocation of additional payments to medical workers involved in the fight against coronavirus infection.
