Government to pilot distribution of food packages among needy families in Bishkek and Osh

AKIPRESS.COM - "The current situation leads to gradual reduction of money among a significant part of population of the country. We are developing the algorithm of support of needy citizens and large families in form of food packages," First Vice Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov told a briefing today.
The packages will include basic food products, he said.
"Such mechanism of aid will be tested in Bishkek and Osh at first. If it is successful, it will be scaled up across the country," Boronov said.
"The decision was made already to allocate 5,000 tons of flour that will be distributed among needy citizens. If necessary, additional 5,000 tons of flour will be provided," the First Vice PM said.
