Turkmen transport agencies to receive state support

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bayramgeldi Ovezov, who oversees transport and communications complex briefed the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the areas under his supervision during the video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers on April 3, Business Turkmenistan reports. The Vice-Prime Minister briefed the President on the works carried out in the Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen Motor Transport), Türkmendemirýollary (Turkmen Railways), Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Seaways), Türkmenaragatnaşyk (Turkmen Communications) and Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines) agencies.
Turkmen President said the air carriers face difficulties due to the restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the world.
In this regard, Berdimuhamedov instructed the Vice-Premier to analyze in detail the financial capabilities of the structures under his supervision.
The President noted that because of the termination of air traffic and the reduction in cargo flows, the agencies may have difficulties with fulfillment of production tasks.
The head of the state ensured the Vice-PM along with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Gadyrgeldi Mushshikov to analyze the situations that may develop until the end of the year and prepare proposals on the measures to defer the tax and loan payments of the agencies or on their support.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Rashid Meredov also briefed the President on the Foreign Ministry's activities.
Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of keeping abreast of all the developments in the world and in this regard, instructed the Foreign Minister to submit proposals on holding various international events with the participation of Turkmenistan.
