Medical workers to be paid 200,000 soms compensation if they contract COVID-19

AKIPRESS.COM - Medical workers will be paid 200,000 soms compensation in case they contract coronavirus infection during work. In case a medical worker dies from coronavirus, a family will be paid 1 million soms compensation, First Vice Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov said at the meeting of the nation-wide operative team for coronavirus prevention from further spread.
The line agencies are tasked to pay compensations to medial workers timely and in full, the government's press service said.
First Vice Prime Minister Boronov said the website www.help.covid.kg contains information on arrived donations for fight against coronavirus infection and their spending, information on arriving humanitarian aid for the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Social development, as well as donations for support of vulnerable groups of population.
Special commissions were set up for distribution of donations and humanitarian aid, which include MPs, representatives of government agencies and civil society organizations.
"We will ensure transparent and proper use of incoming donations," the First Vice Prime Minister promised.
