Flour intended for 4 months sold out for 10 days - Osh region governor

AKIPRESS.COM - Sellers in Osh sold out flour for 10 days they usually sell for 4 months, Osh region governor Uzarbek Jylkybaev told the online briefing today. There is enough supply of flour in all trade outlets, he said.
"There are many citizens concerned about the situation. For instance, when flour was delivered to Chon Alay district as humanitarian aid, local farmers handed over potato as sign of gratitude. 27,000 tons of potato were shipped from Chon Alay as aid," the governor said.
28,000 poor families are registered in Osh region. Up to date, food packages were delivered to 35,750 families.
Businessmen financed distribution of 1.5 tons of flour, 11 tons of past, 78 liters of cooking oil, 3.5 tons of rice, 4,300 kg of sugar, 1,000 kg of meat for poor families. Some 720 tons of flour were allocated from the state reserve.
