Number of infected medical workers reached 116 in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan has confirmed 23 new cases as of April 17, including 12 of them are medical workers, said the Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev at the briefing today.
According to him, the healthcare workers are among newly infected citizens, including 7 in Bishkek, 4 in Osh region, 1 in Osh city.
A total number of infected medical workers reached 116, including:
- Doctors - 38;
- Middle medical personnel - 46;
- Other employees - 18.
"There are some medical workers who contacted with each other. They work with coronavirus patients and in laboratories," he added.
