Mass testing of contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases starts in Osh region

AKIPRESS.COM - Mass testing of contacts of the confirmed COVID-19 cases has started in Osh region, Turmush reported. Mobile teams of medical professionals are visiting households where coronavirus was confirmed and contacts under home quarantine since April 25 in Nookat, Uzgen, Kara-Suu, Chon-Alay districts.
Temperature is measured and COVID-19 RT-PCR tests are made.
This process is aimed to prevent further spread of the coronavirus infection, the Osh region administration said.
174 people were tested in Uzgen district, 301 in Kara-Suu district, all contacts were tested in Chon-Alay district so far.
