Chief sanitary inspector of Karakol suspected of misappropriation and sale of face masks and disinfectant

AKIPRESS.COM - The probe was launched against the chief sanitary inspector of Karakol, Turmush reported.
The information was spread on social media alleging the chief sanitary inspector abused power and did not hand over personal protective items, including disposable medical masks, protective clothing, gloves, that arrived as humanitarian aid, to medical workers. The medical workers had to re-use same protective items after disinfection. The chief sanitary inspector was accused of selling face masks and hypochlorite to private entities.
During the check, 3 workers of the sanitary and epidemiological station, reported to the prosecutor's office saying the information about chief sanitary inspector leaked to social media is true. They said the chief sanitary inspector abused power and sold masks and hypochlorite that were handed over as humanitarian aid for workers.
The pre-trial investigation was launched into appropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property.
