AKIPRESS.COM - 136 doctors with pneumonia were taken to the hospital in Dushanbe, Asia-Plus reported with reference to the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan. 319 people with suspected pneumonia were taken to the Dushanbe medical center No. 1, including 136 medical workers.
On April 26, 107 patients were discharged after recovery. 30 patients will be discharged in next few days. 11 patients died, 8 remain in intensive care, the Ministry of Health said.
Several patients of the Dushanbe medical center No. 1 died from pneumonia last week. On April 22, four patients died in that hospital. The information was confirmed by hospital chief Khurshed Rustamzoda.
On April 23, 3 more people died from pneumonia there. On April 24, 57-year-old physiotherapist Fatto Soliev died.
"Coronavirus infection has not been registered in Tajikistan. Pneumonia prevalence is growing due change of seasons. Depending upon the situation, the Ministry of Health tasked medical professionals to isolate all cases of acute respiratory viral infections and flu, to immediately provide antiviral, antibacterial therapy in case of detection of pneumonia and respiratory diseases," the Ministry of Health said.
