President Tokayev cancels 2 mass events in Nur-Sultan over coronavirus fears

AKIPRESS.COM - Two mass events in Nur-Sultan has been canceled by President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev over coronavirus.
They included the solemn gathering and a concert on occasion of the International Women's Day.
"I have made the decision to cancel the solemn gathering and a concert in Nur-Sultan on occasion of the International Women's Day. This is explained with safety considerations over global spread of coronavirus. I wish happiness, health and well-being to women," Tokayev said on Twitter.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 7,000 coronavirus cases were confirmed globally by March 2. The biggest COVID-19 outbreak is observed in South Korea (4,212), Italy (1,694) and Iran (978). The death toll from coronavirus complications reached 3,044 people, including 2,912 in China.
