AKIPRESS.COM - All crisis centers operate online now. Citizens who were sheltered in the crisis centers before start of the quarantine remain there, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development Aliza Soltonbekova told AKIpress. 14 crisis centers operate in Kyrgyzstan.
"The crisis centers can't accommodate new victims now for safety consideration of those people staying there. For this reason, those suffered from domestic violence will be taken to safe places, where they can obtain medical, psychological, legal assistance," the Deputy Minister said.
The Bishkek commandant earlier said the domestic violence rate grew during quarantine compared to the same period of the previous year.
Specialists of line agencies received necessary training before declaration of the state of emergency.
"We continue working in a close partnership to enhance response system. All agencies are involved, including Ministry of Health, Interior Ministry, Social Development Ministry, local authorities. There should not be such problems as lack of interdepartmental coordination in domestic violence response," she said.
