95 million soms to be paid in April as incentives to medical workers from donations for COVID-19 fight

AKIPRESS.COM - More than 6,000 medical workers are involved into coronavirus fight. 3635 medical professionals work in hospitals and observation points. 63 medical workers and doctors work in 9 laboratories. 414 medical workers are deployed in 103 epidemiological teams, Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev said in Parliament today.
More than 40 are stationed at the 15 sanitary checkpoints across the country.
500 doctors work in Family Medicine Centers. 306 mobile teams of 918 people were set up.
The Prime Minister also noted 615 roadblocks functioning across the country. Military are deployed at 80 of them. 115 are sanitary and quarantine checkpoints surrounding settlements.
Some 215 million soms were allocated to the Ministry of Health for purchase of medicines, personal protective equipment, pay supplement.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations was allocate 300 million soms for maintenance of observation points and provision of hot meals for people staying and working there.
The funds were also provided to the Ministry of Transport and Foreign Ministry to arrange evacuation of citizens from abroad. Region administrations received 27.7 million soms.
The commission approved use of 38 million soms from donations for fight against coronavirus. This sum will be used for pay supplement to medical workers. 95 million soms will be paid in April. The donations will not suffice, for this reason we allocate 120 million soms from the public budget, Prime Minister Abilgaziev said.
