Tajikistan confirms 52 new COVID-19 cases, 128 in total

AKIPRESS.COM - Tajikistan has confirmed 52 new COVID-19 cases by the evening of May 3. That brought the total number of cases to 128. The new case were confirmed among 3,084 people remaining in hospitals under medical observation. Two patients died. 274 patients in good conditions were discharged from hospital after they tested negative for coronavirus, Akhbor reported.
In the evening of May 2, the Tajik state TV channel said 76 COVID-19 cases were confirmed. Two patients died. The total death toll from coronavirus as admitted by Tajik authorities reached 4.
The figures about coronavirus cases in Tajikistan began growing rapidly during the last day. In the morning of May 2, the state news agency Khovar reported about 32 cases in the country, which included 17 in Dushanbe, 10 in Sughd region, 5 in districts. By the evening of May 2, the number grew to 76, by the evening of May 3, it reached 128.
