AKIPRESS.COM - 13 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Batken region by May 3. They included 6 cases in Kadamjai district, 4 in Batken district, 3 in Kyzyl-Kiya.
Two patients were discharged from hospital after recovery.
The new COVID-19 case in the two is a 64-year-old patient, who was taken to the infectious diseases hospital on April 30. He is a truck driver. On April 29, he crossed the border into Uzbekistan. While entering Uzbekistan, he was tested for coronavirus and the result was positive. He was then transported to the border with Kyrgyzstan in the ambulance car.
The repeated RT-PCR test was positive.
The man lives with his spouse and 15 year-old grandson in Kyzyl-Kiya. The contacts of the man reached 36 people, including 19 truck drivers from Nookat, Jalal-Abad, Leilek, Osh. A part of them were taken to the observation already. Three family members, 3 border guards stay under home quarantine.
