AKIPRESS.COM - Police checkpoints where passes of citizens were checked have been removed, Almaty police department said.
"In connection with loosening of quarantine restrictions, resumption of work of a big number of organizations and companies, checkpoints within the city stopped functioning," the police department said.
Citizens may freely move by foot, by car or bicycle.
Police will patrol parks to prevent gathering of people there.
27 roadblocks surrounding Almaty function as before.
Kazakhstan has confirmed 3,988 COVID-19 cases up to date. 1,107 patients recovered, 27 patients died.
