Tourists started increasingly visiting specially protected areas of Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The number of tourists visiting the specially protected areas of Kyrgyzstan increased in 2019, said Deputy Director of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry Nadyrbek Kozubayev.
The number of tourists who visited the specially protected areas in 2019 increased by 5,796 compared to previous year.
Territories of the specially protected areas have also expanded.
Today the total area of such territories is 1,476,100 hectares, which is 7.3% of the total territory of Kyrgyzstan.
