Food assistance for more than 50 million soms provided in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - Food assistance was provided for more than 50 million soms in Bishkek, First Vice Mayor Almaz Baketayev told a briefing today.
90,000 food packages were distributed, he said.
"Due to lockdown, many citizens remained without incomes. The mayor's office provides food assistance to vulnerable families with support of charity organizations. Some 4.4 million soms were transferred to the special humanitarian account of the mayor's office," he said.
The mayor's office will have to optimize expenditures. All expenditures, except for secured budget items and payments, will be reconsidered, the First Vice Mayor said.
