UNICEF to assist in supply of drugs to cancer patients

AKIPRESS.COM - The government allocated 160 million soms in 2020 for the purchase of the drugs for cancer patients, said the Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev on May 7.
According to him, 60 million soms envisaged for the purchase of drugs for children.
"The children's department of Osh interregional hospital has a list of vital drugs. There are some drugs that are not available in the country. There were some difficulties in importing these drugs due to the tender issues, closed border," he said.
UNICEF will assist in the supply of drugs. Over $55,000 will be allocated for the Osh hospital and about $65,000 to the National Center of Oncology and Hematology, the Usenbayev added.
