AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Minister Akram Madumarov held phone talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim concering regulation of the situation following the recent border incident on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, the Kyrgyz government's press service said.
The Deputy Prime Ministers discussed the joint actions to de-escalate the situation.
The both sides noted inadmissibility of use of firearms and emphasized importance of adoption of measures to prevent further escalation of tension.
"The sides reaffirmed commitment to earlier reached agreements and constructive approach to arising issues. Importance of continuation of the negotiation process on state border delimitation and demarcation was underlined," Akram Madumarov said.
"The situation is under a special control of the government," Deputy PM Madumarov said.
