State Penitentiary Service denies reports that Atambayev's bodyguard diagnosed with coronavirus

AKIPRESS.COM - State Penitentiary Service denied the statement SDPK spokesperson Kunduz Joldubayeva that Kanat Sagymbayev, an ex-employee of the 9th Service of the National Security Committee (State Security Service) suspected of having coronavirus.
Sagynbayev stated that he was sick during court trial into the events of August 7-8, 2019 in Koi-Tash village on May 11, said Joldubayeva and noted that he had symptoms of coronavirus.
According to her, 3 days ago, Sagynbayev sent a letter to the leadership of SIZO-1, but no actions were taken.
"Currently, no coronavirus cases were detected among inmates of GSIN institutions," penitentiary service reports.
Sagymbayev, ex-president Almazbek Atambayev's bodyguard, was detained on September 24 by the Military Prosecutor's Office.
Former National Security Committee's State Guard officer Kanat Sagymbayev is suspected of 4 crimes: power abuse, murder by group of persons, obstruction to investigation and mass riots.
