New OTRK head promises only objective and reliable information

Awareness raising campaign among school students on their rights and ways to protect them to be carried out in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The League of Child's Rights Defenders, Helpline 111, Ombudsman's Office, the Ministry of Education and Science will carry out the communication campaign on occasion of the International Child Helpline Day marked on May 17.
Child Helpline International is a global network of 178 child helplines in 150 countries, Kyrgyzstan among them. A child helpline is a telecommunication and outreach service on behalf of children and young people.
The child helpline will mark 5 years of work in Kyrgyzstan this year.
The communication campaign will be carried from May 18 to June 1 among school students and their parents to inform about children's rights via social networks, television, web resources. A particular attention will be paid to chldren staying at boarding institutions or in penal colonies.
Raising awareness about basic rights and mechanisms of their protection will allow to prevent violence and cruel treatment, to increase access to social services, the League of Child's Rights Defenders said.
