51 out of 78 new cases in Kyrgyzstan are imported - Health Ministry

AKIPRESS.COM - 51 out of 78 new cases of Covid-19 in Kyrgyzstan were revealed among citizens arriving from other countries, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev reported.
"Our compatriots are in different countries and in different conditions. The citizens do not observe prevention rules in observation areas. Therefore, the number of cases is growing," he said.
According to the nation-wide prevention team for coronavirus prevention:
- 43 cases out of 78 new cases were imported from Sol-Iletsk;
- 4 cases were detected among truck drivers (1 in Jalal-Abad regional hospital and 3 in Kara-Suu district);
- 1 case was imported by student arriving from abroad;
- 3 cases were imported by cadets evacuated from St.Petersburg.
27 cases of Covid-19 were revealed among contact persons.
Kyrgyzstan has confirmed 1216 Covid-19 cases as of May 18.
