Tokayev awards 2 police officers, fatally hit by drunk driver at roadblock in Almaty, posthumously

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev has signed the order to award the police officers in Almaty, who died after they were hit by drunk driver at the quarantine roadblock, posthumously. Jaras Jangaziev and Dastan Abdykanov were awarded with Abaiyn orders.
The drunk driver ran into the roadblock and then hit the police car with 2 police officers inside in the morning of May 25. One police officer died at the scene, another died at hospital.
The driver was former police officer, who was dismissed for improper performance of his duties.
