President Jeenbekov visits pharmaceutical plant within working trip to Chui region

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov familiarized with the activities of a pharmaceutical enterprise in the Sokuluk district as a part of his working trip to Chui region on May 26, the government reports.
The pharmaceutical factory drugs and food supplements, as well as drugs for enhancing immunity, which is important in the fight against coronavirus infection.
There is also modern laboratory to control the quality of drugs accredited in accordance with international standards, which uses Japanese, German and American equipment.
The plant exports products to the CIS countries, Europe and the USA. To date, the construction of a new workshop is being completed, the mass production of medical masks, napkins and shoe covers will be launched in the coming days.
The annual production capacity of the enterprise is 500 million drugs, 100 million capsules, 50 million pulvis and granules, 5 million sirups. Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund will soon allocate funding to expand production capacity of plant.
The head of the enterprise said that the drugs produced at the plant are used in the treatment of coronavirus infection.
Jeenbekov noted that the domestic pharmaceutical industry has good potential and called on local authorities and financial institutions of the country to provide assistance to the company to expand production and export products.
President emphasized that the factory will have the opportunity to compete in the foreign drug markets and promote the domestic pharmaceutical brand.
