Attempt to smuggle over 18 tons of apricots from Tajikistan foiled

AKIPRESS.COM - The Kyrgyz customs offices foiled the attempt to smuggle apricots for 1.205 million soms (around $15,000) in Batken region, Turmush reported. The customs officers held the Volvo truck driven by a Kyrgyz citizen. They found 18,652 kilos of apricots in plastic boxes in the truck imported from Tajikistan in violation of customs regulations.
